Diane has been a working painter for some years. She has a studio near Goudhurst in Kent where she specialises in painting and drawing portraits of animals. Her mediums are oil and charcoal.
She works from photographs and if necessary will photograph the animal herself to ensure the right pose. Clients can bring their dogs to Diane's house for a photo shoot and a run around in her field if they feel like it.
Diane has drawn and painted all her life and attended Art Colleges in Brighton, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells followed by a B.A. Course at London Metropolitan University and Summer School at Chelsea College of Art.
"I like to achieve a true likeness of the animal with it's own facial expression, rather than being a good example of the breed."
"I have many repeat customers and my work is in several countries around the world".
" I have got to know so many great people and their lovely dogs, cats and horses, not to mention the odd parrot".
Clients are made very welcome at her studio and Diane keeps in touch with them throughout the process, which takes about 4 weeks to complete. The smallest canvas is 12 inches square which is priced at £95 for an oil painting. Drawings are lightly mounted on card and under cellophane. They are priced from £50.
Diane can be contacted by telephone 01580 212327 and by email at [email protected]
